Acupuncture

Acupuncture sessions are one-on-one sessions where I work closely with you. On the first treatment, we will discuss your health history, your reasons for seeking acupuncture care, and your wellness goals. At this point, a personalized treatment plan will be designed for you.

​You will relax on a comfortable recliner or a massage table during your session. Each treatment is unique. I typically needle only on various points on your legs, feet, arms, hands, ears or head. In rare occasions, points on the torso may be selected. Moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, infrared, and manual therapy may be recommended and utilized depending on the suitability of the conditions.

A treatment session typically last about 45-60 minutes, up to 75-90 minutes for intake and re-evaluation.

Herbal Consultation

You will join me to go over your specific goals for the treatment. I will review your forms, ask questions, and then do a quick exam, which may include taking pulse, palpation on pressure points, and looking on the tongue. A personalized formulation will be crafted for you. The consultation typically lasts from 15-30 minutes, up to 45-60 minutes for the intake.

No insurance is accepted for the herbal consultation.

Insurance

I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, and VA Community Care Network (VACCN). I also accept all major insurances including Cigna, Humana, Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation cases as an out-of-network provider. Each of these insurers offer different plans to choose from, some of which include acupuncture benefits and some of which may not, but I will help you find out if your plan covers my services.​

If your policy covers my treatments, I will bill your insurance provider for my services. If my services are not covered under your plan, then you will be informed of alternate payment options for future treatments during your consultation. I accept cash, check, and credit card.
